Overview
We provided South Carolina video production for SCDES in partnership with Chernoff Newman, creating a follow-up film that highlights three employees who protect the state’s air, water, and natural environment.
The Approach
Lunch and Recess handled pre-production from start to finish. This included scheduling, coordinating availability with each featured employee, and working with outside partners such as Columbia’s recycling program, the Columbia Fireflies stadium staff, and field teams involved in water-quality testing and vehicle inspections. We also scouted locations, refined shot lists, and built a tight production schedule.
On production day, we moved through multiple locations efficiently, capturing everything from recycling-education outreach at the baseball stadium to an Adopt-A-Stream water testing session to inspections tied to safe waste and oil transport. We also recorded voiceover at the SCDES offices, combining scripted lines with interview responses to create authentic, useful options during the edit.
Post-Production
Lunch and Recess handled the full edit, color correction, sound mix, and delivery. We also created motion graphics and supporting animations, integrated drone footage, and captured still photography of the video subjects for use in collateral. Revisions were minimal, and the final video was warmly received by both Chernoff Newman and SCDES.
A follow-up project, a “Year 1 Wrap-Up” video — was also produced in short order. Using a mix of motion graphics, photos, and video clips, we elevated an early internal draft and delivered a polished piece for their year-one milestone announcement.
Who This Work Is For
This project reflects the type of government, public-sector, and agency-collaboration work we do best: documentary-style, human-centered stories produced with efficiency, clarity, and strong creative partnership.
If you’re a South Carolina organization, agency, or brand looking for video production, we’d be glad to talk.
